# Import Projects

As an alternative to creating projects manually, you can use the [API & integrations](https://kb.teambookapp.com/en/article/teambook-api) available in Teambook!

Another way is to **import/upload projects** using an Excel file. This is particularly handy when you want to create many projects in one go.

1. Go to the **Projects** section
2. Click on the arrow next to the **Create project** button to access the **Upload projects** feature![](https://cdn.filestackcontent.com/nlnrd8pXTuqIF1UVohhu)

3. A new modal window will open - click on the **Excel sheet**
4. **Edit** the excel sheet with your projects data; stick to the format of the sample data (that you can delete) and do not change the columns' order!
5. Then either **Save the Excel file and upload it** using the appropriate button.
6. Or, **Copy** the cells of the data you want to import and then **Paste** this data in the modal window where indicated (do not care about the layout) and click on **Import**

**Notes**:

- Make sure that mandatory information (project name, project type) is filled in the file; optional information can also be entered.
- Clients, which you may have filled in the corresponding column, will be automatically created if they do not already exist in Teambook.
